Our day today with friends – obviously we have to spend some more time at Stanley Park! We haven’t seen half of these animals!

Canadian Capers

8th May

A great day today. We caught the train and bus into the city where we met friends from Melbourne who moved here earlier in the year for a picnic lunch at Stanley Park. The weather was glorious, a perfect day for a picnic. It was lovely to catch up – and we received some very welcome tips on some of the stranger Canadian road rules/practices (we’ve wondered about a few things!) The girls had a fun time playing on the playground – Abbie has been hanging out for a playground ever since we’ve been here – but spent quite a while under the ‘squirrel tree’ after they spotted a little black squirrel run up it!
After lunch we walked around the lake in the park, which is just beautiful. There was abundant wildlife – the girls were quite literally running from one to the next. In a very…
