We loved the look of this little town the first time we drove through, that we changed our itinerary to stay at Field on the way back, instead of Lake Louise. Field is just inside BC, whereas Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper are all in Alberta. One tip, don’t buy gas/petrol here – it is definitely cheaper once you cross the border to Alberta.
Our accommodation was at this backpackers – but we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment downstairs, which was nicer than a fair few of the hotels we stayed in. Mikayla loved having a queen bed too!
The town is filled with cute houses and B&B’s.
There are two downfalls with staying here…. if you get stuck on the wrong side of the tracks in the morning, you might lose 15 minutes of your day. The second is that there are not many eateries. Only one place open when we stayed there.
If you are driving past, definitely drop in for a walk around the streets. Super cute!
